I'm still alive. My family is mostly still alive (the ones who died died a while ago and not due to COVID-19).

I'm pretty much at one of the COVID-19 epicenters in the USA. So that's super fun.

I'm supremely grateful for the circumstances in which I hunker down. First off, I have a place TO hunker down. Next, it's not either literally nor figuratively toxic.

Unfortunately 2 out of 3 of a my jobs are temporarily No More. And one of these two may no longer exist after this shut-down because the circus school I work for is very tiny, has no financial help (thanks federal gov & capitalism), and likely won't be able to even think about re-opening until Fall 2020. If then.

I am discounting the summer for the circus school because,  even if we can start getting back to work, the school can't meet strict guidelines (one piece of equipment per person, no close contact, etc) for starting back up. I just don't see a way the school could open.

And if we can't even vaccinate or contact-trace or fucking TEST PEOPLE the way we need to, I don't quite fathom how the state could re-open.

I so very desperately want Dump out of office. And Bitch McConnell. The useless sacks of shit that they are.

My one hope is that the people who are gathering in groups to protest (mostly very right-wing conservatives) will get the virus and die. Thereby giving fewer votes to Dump come November.
